Well it has been awhile since I last posted so I am really going to try to keep it up this time. Have been a bit busy with the girls that I got a bit distracted I guess. Ready to start posting all our new adventures and especially all the new recipes we are trying now.. see you soon.

Insanity...

 WE have started working out for the last 2 weeks and I can already start to tell a difference.  We started doing Insanity =the videos are sometimes hard and hard on your joints but you do feel better after the exercise..  We have also been working on our diet so I am soon going to start posting up recipes and our progress.

Toys toys toys....

This is what it starts to look like when all the toys start coming out.  I just cleaned everything last night trying to figure out  how to organize things better.

Garden update..

    We will soon be able to pick some vegetables.
  The tomatoes are looking good and the jalapeños are growing  nicely too.
   The zucchini and squash are blooming.... now we just wait and keep watering till our first havest... ;-)

Strawberries. ..

We are getting a few strawberries this year.. The girls are loving them since every few days they look to see if any are ripe enough to pick.

Alyssa playing dress up....

 

She had so many layers of clothes. ... it was cute.  

 Now she has Mattie dressing up with her too.

It is suprising how fast they grow, this was Mattie's first time to dress up but she is loving it, keeps following Alyssa all over. 

 

 

Working on the garden again..

        I am really happy with the way our garden is looking so far...  The Trevino Family Farm is on it's second year and it is of to a good start.   This year we built another box that is doubled in size to lasts year's so we now have three boxes.   I am excited so see how well we will do this year...

 

       Last year our best crop was the tomatoes and the cucumbers  so this year we are doing more and differents kinds of both.   Alyssa had such a great time picking and watering the garden that we hope Mattie will to this year .   Maybe we will have enough vegetables for both our girls to pick since last year Alyssa would hardly let the veggie's rippen before she wanted to pick and eat them.

 

          We did not have much luck with  the  strawberries, lettuce or cilantro so we were going to  focus on new vegetables this year but  Surprise..  Surprise.. the strawberries came back on their own and are doing good.   Alyssa has even picked a few.

 

      Squash and Zuccini is in the garden now and we will have to wait and see how it does. I also added many new peppers,  habaneros ,  seranos , cayanne , and back again Jalapenos. I was looking at maybe adding Ghost Chilies soon ( supposed to be the hottest pepper).  Fresh salsa here we come.... ; )

 

     We are working on getting rid of the ants we have in one of the boxes.. Many more plants to get after we are done... Still a work in progress.    Oh,  we did get another blueberry bush,  might get a peach tree too.   Can't wait.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pancakes..

 

   The girls wanted pancakes this morning and we had no mix so here I am trying to find a DIY mix recipe online.
  Well we did good ,found one at allrecipes.com that was really good , recipe for 8 regular size pancakes.  The pancakes were fluffy and buttery but We did change things a bit though for the girls.
   I added a 1tsp of chia seeds and 1 tsp of flax seeds. We made baby pancakes because they girls like them small and Alyssa added chocolate chips to some of them when they were cooking. I will definitely be saving this recipe in my book.

Baby Shower cake...

    Last week I had another order for the pregnant belly baby shower cake and some cup cakes. It's getting easier to make them now but still have been looking for the perfect way to make the tiny foot. I saw the picture somewhere on pinterest but it had no instructions on it so I have been coming up with my own solutions. Ready for some more baking.

      I also made the baby crib out of fruit.  Sadly I do not have pictures for that one... forgot to take any with my two little girls stuck to me the whole time I was trying to help out at the party . We had a good time though.

     It's going to be a baby boy.....

Topgolf...

    We went to check out  Topgolf a few weeks ago.. Its a new place that opened up here in Houston and it was great.  You get to play golf  from your booth where they have a full set of men's and women's clubs for your use.  The customer service was good as was the food and drinks ( they have a full bar ) but you have to try the wings they were awesome.  There are different types of games you can challenge yourself and friends with and many different targets for different points  to hit.    I kept trying and didn't do terribly bad for my first time.   We also loved it because it was also kid friendly ( they even have some clubs for them) and Alyssa and Manuel had the best time playing.  Madelynn kept trying to get into everything but it was still a very fun lunch date.  Topgolf.com

It's been a while since I have posted but I do have many things to post that we have been up to... will try to do it soon.

 I just ordered our Christmas cards for this year although I had to use 2 pictures on the cards since we have not taken a family picture. Our goal for this month is to take one, time is flying by so fast that I just realized we have not taken one since Mattie was born and now she will be ONE in 2 weeks. 

I now order all my cards from Cardstore.com . It is a great website, the quality of the cards is good and they will address and mailout the cards for you or will address them and send you the envelope with a stamp too at no extra charge. ( you can't beat that)  Love their website.

Waiting in line...

We took a picture while we where waiting in line to buy beer.. YES... beer...
 It is a bit of a family tradition now since we  have been going for the last few years now, at first it was just  Manuel and me, but now the girls go too.  We even ended up in the news this time or Manuel and Alyssa did as did  our stroller since we were holding the girls and the beer was in it.

Your probably wondering why?????  well St. Arnolds Brewery  has this limited brew of beer once or twice a year, each time is a different flavor that will never be brewed again. That is what they say and so far they are on #13.

Working on Bri's Bday...

     I am working on Brianna's birthday party decorations.. I have finished the Hello Kitty bags and her tutu... now I can check 2 more Items off the list. Wow this stuff is time consuming but I like doing it. It's fun trying to make new things and figuring out how to make them ( sometimes through mistakes) but that's how you learn right!!1 Made 40 bags for the kids, hope they are enough, they are too cute.

Mattie's room...

It's so cute almost every morning Alyssa wakes up and checks to see if Mattie is awake. She loves to get in,the crib with her and hang out there.

Chuck-e Cheese...

The girls have had a great time at chuck-e cheese lately. We have been going a couple of time now since the one by our house has many of their games for toddlers.
